The recently renovated suite we stayed in had all the benefits of a single family home. A full kitchen with an actually well performing small dishwasher, a roomy dining and living room area, two bedrooms with ample closet and storage space, additional storage space in the living room area, three TV's with additional entertainment equipment for kids, stacked washer/dryer in the entry hallway with even more storage space by means of an additional closet, a dedicated entry hall designed for donning and doffing ski and snowboard boots, including a neat rack with overhead storage cubicles to hang and stash away the helmets, gloves, scarves, and other "small" items, a wide bench to sit down and take off the boots with ease, a rubber floor mat with elevated edges to catch the water/snow from the boots, with an additional large carpet to place underneath, and even a humidifier in the room, which we did not need to use on this trip. The suite is very well designed for a small family on a winter sport vacation. The heating/AC system worked flawlessly, the small balcony with view to the hotel's pool and hot tub area with a small table and a couple of chairs would be excellent for a morning coffee in the warmer spring days. We enjoyed the hot tubs and heated pool on both the first floor (access just outside the lobby) and second floor (with access just besides the elevators) almost every day during our stay, to soothe our aching muscles after the intense skiing and snowboarding activities. The resort's ski and snowboard rental facilities / retail store was right there in the hotel's basement, extremely convenient with overly friendly staff. Access to the lifts and Gondola was just outside the hotel's basement exit to the mountain, as was the ski and snowboard school area. Guest parking was also accessible directly from the hotel basement level. This has by far been our most "convenient" ski/snowboard vacation due to the hotel's facilities. We had dinner in the hotel's restaurant once, the food was also excellent, the staff likewise extremely friendly and customer oriented. The only "negative" aspect was the extremely bad coffee (both the regular and decaf versions) supplied beside the coffeemaker, regardless of the brand shown on the packaging. The only additional equipment the room would benefit from is a boot & glove dryer (maybe a double unit to dry two pairs simultaneously and allow for a couple of cycles overnight for a small family). Overall an excellent hotel, everything neat and shiny. We truly enjoyed our vacation at Steamboat, and this will definitely be a repeat destination for us in the coming years, when the winter or spring snow conditions match our available vacation schedule.
